Competitive Advantage in Economic Recession
Event: Slovenia Business Leaders Conference
21 October 2008
To a packed hall of delegates consisting of senior corporate leaders from all sectors of the Slovenian economy, Richard Scase gave a one-day series of presentations on entrepreneurial leadership, managing change, the fight for talent, and achieving corporate success in economic downturn. Using examples from his own business experiences and other case studies, and drawing upon his many years of consultancy and research, he outlined the features that separate high-performing businesses from the rest. He appealed for the adoption of new business models and told delegates to rid themselves from legacies of the past. In the NEW WORLD ORDER with a declining impact of the American business model, companies will have to be even more innovative and inventive in their practices, mind-sets and cultures if they are to compete with the aggressive companies that are exploiting opportunities in the emerging markets of the global economy.
