for Coventry, Solihull and Warwick Regeneration Corridor at Ardencote Hotel, Warwick
26 July 2007
Richard Scase gave the Keynote Address to this meeting of the Senior Strategic Partners of the Coventry, Solihull and Warwick regeneration Corridor ( CSW ). He discussed the importance of local universities being actively involved in high value, knowledge-based business start-ups. In these terms, he focused on the barriers to be overcome and how this could be done. He was critical of the present role of Business Schools, claiming the Research Assessment Exercise was counter-productive to local business engagement. He concluded his talk with some confidential suggestions on the path to be taken forward.
