Location, Location, Location
for Cognizant Europe at Four Seasons Hotel, Hampshire
20 June 2007
Richard Scase gave the Opening Keynote Speech for the second day of this event, arranged for the corporate guests of Cognizant, one of the fastest growing software support companies in the world. Other speakers included Bill Emmett, former editor of the Economist. Richard Scase described the re-mix of the global economy and how this is affecting the location strategies of knowledge-based businesses. He identified the growth of talent hubs around the world and how these rather than product markets would be the key factors shaping where companies would locate their corporate nerve centres. This was creating global integrated enterprises that are replacing the multi-national models of the past. These are becoming more dependent upon strategic alliances with companies such as Cognizant for R&D, innovation and business development.
